Messy Play School Sessions
What happens at a messy play session?
SoryCubs will come to your school at an arranged time and create the most unique session full of exploration and experimentation whilst supporting the development of fine and gross motor skills.
As soon as the children arrive they can pop bubbles, hear stories and explore the messy play stations tailored to either a theme of your choice or a chosen SoryCubs theme.
The session will begin with a story, again linked to the theme before delving into the messy play stations (the amount of stations will vary dependent on class size) After about 45mins, we will come back together to finish the story and draw to a close with a parachute and all children will be rewarded with a SoryCubs sticker.
The best part of all is that all the mess is left to SoryCubs and once the children have left SoryCubs will clean everything up.
*Please note SoryCubs provide all resources for the session, but may need access to a sink at the venue.

Who do messy play sessions appeal to?
The messy play sessions are ideal for children up to approx. 5 years old. All messy play sessions support the development of fine motor skills that involve the smaller muscle groups in the hands, fingers and wrists. Fine motor skill activities that the messy play sessions will offer will involve manual dexterity and support co-ordinating movements of the hands and fingers with the eyes, which is known as hand-eye co-ordination. Each messy play station will provide opportunities to improve these through activities like playing with dough, threading pasta, using scissors, building blocks and stacking, tongs, scoops and much more.
How long would a messy play session last?
Each messy play session can be adapted to suit your needs but in general the sessions last for 1 hour – although SoryCubs ask for 45 minutes before the session to setup and 45 minutes after to clear away.
What if a child has an allergy or dietary requirement?
Upon booking of the messy play session SoryCubs will ask for allergies/dietary requirements to ensure the session is stress free and inclusive to all children. Providing a safe environment for all to get involved in.
What is the price of a messy play session?
Prices start at £150, however venues exceeding 10 miles of WN6 will incur a travel fee charged at £0.50 per mile.
